About Me

Hello, all my friends know me as Miss Bonnie! My name is Bonnie Flitton and I love being a preschool teacher. I’ve been teaching preschool since 2007. I attended Salt Lake Community College and received my Associates Degree in Family and Human Studies.  I worked for 3 semesters at the Eccles Early Childhood Development Lab School, with my last semester as a student teacher.  I finished my education at the University of Utah and earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Human Development and Family Studies.  Shortly thereafter, I decided to start a preschool in the basement of our home and I’ve been teaching preschool ever since.  The 2024-2025 school year will be my 15th year teaching at my own school and also my last.  My oldest child will then head off to college and a mission for our church, while my youngest child will be entering kindergarten.  I figured it was time for a change and some new adventures!  Teaching has been an important part of my life and it will be bittersweet for sure!

I have both 3 and 4 year old classes at Miss Bonnie’s Preschool and offer small class sizes and a caring, fun classroom environment.  I have a passion and love for little kids.  The preschool age group is the best. They make me laugh every day, give the best hugs and high fives and get so excited when they learn new things. I love watching them grow and learn!

Personally, I’m a mom to six busy kids ranging in age from 4 to 18 years old.  My husband runs his own online marketing business and we’ve been married for 21 years. In my spare time I like to hangout with my family, sew clothes, hike, eat lots of dark chocolate and dream about being on the Amazing Race with my husband!
